'Automotive' is by far the field that is generating the hottest interest and controversy in th-e global technology and industry these days.

The reason for this is that Henry Ford, who was called the 'king of automobiles' in the Uni-ted States of America, introduced the worl-d's first mass-produced 'Ford Model T' in 190-3, and the'internal combustion automobile era' using fossil fuels began in earnest. This is because it is changing to a 'battery car generation' that uses' battery' as a power source.

What is interesting is that the two leading American automakers, ‘Nicola’ and ‘Tesla’, are le-ading this “cell car era”. That said, the paths ‘Nicola’ and ‘Tesla’ have been on, the busine-ss details, and the approach to the ‘cell car’ are different.

'Tesla', the main character of 'Electric battery car'

The first of the two companies was ‘Tesla’. 'Tesla' was founded in Palo Alto, CA in 2003 by Martin Everhard and Mark Tafening, and in 2004, PayPal's CEO, Elon Musk, participated as an investor and started to make a name for himself thanks to Elon Musk's high popularit-y.

In conclusion, the approach direction of the 'cell car' that Tesla pursues is a 'Electric car' th-at uses a 'Electric battery' that does not emit carbon dioxide gases instead of fossil fuels

such as gasoline and diesel as a power source. More specifically, it means that the car will be moved with a 'Electric battery' charged with 'polluted electricity' produced by solar po-wer generation.

Under this concept,'Tesla' is working hard to develop a 'Efficient electric battery', and to cr-eate a 'Electric vehicle' that applies 'autonomous driving technology', which is an essential item for future cars.

To this end, Tesla has also developed its own technology and has a car manufacturing faci-lity to create and launch various types of cars, including the Model 3, which has a nice de-sign.

Investors' reaction to this 'Tesla' movement until recently is also positive. The stock price

of 'Tesla' has risen sharply from $121.60 in March to $449.39 in mid-September, despite re-peated surges and plunges this year.

However, the day after the announcement of “Battery Day” on September 22, which attract-ed attention, “I will mass-produce half-price EVs within three years,” the stock price fell by 10.34%.

Contrary to the expectations of investors who said that “Tesla will release some kind of br-eakthrough technology or product on this 'Battery Day',” it is “I could not show anything

like this”.

That said, it is undeniable that 'Tesla' is the most advanced in the field of 'Electric vehicle-s', and that it is almost exclusively on the topic and interest.

However, in recent years, consumers' interest in 'Electric vehicles' has decreased, and the

perception that "Electric vehicles are not 100% carbon dioxide free” is gradually spreading, which is a negative factor. This is said to be because most of the electricity used in the'electric battery' used as the power of electric vehicles is made using fossil fuels.

Nicola is suspected of Technology

On the other hand, 'Nicola', which was founded by Trevor Milton in 2014, later than 'Tesl-a', is developing a 'Hydrogen electric vehicle' that uses a 'hydrogen fuel cell', which is attra-cting attention as the next generation automobile energy.

A 'Hydrogen electric vehicle' can be said to be an electric vehicle that operates the engine with energy generated when hydrogen and oxygen obtained by electrolyzing water are co-mbined.

Hydrogen electric vehicles are being evaluated as ‘real eco-friendly vehicles’ because they emit only water that occurs when hydrogen and oxygen combine instead of carbon dioxid-e.

On the other hand, the difference is that the car that 'Nicola' focuses on is not a passenge-r car like 'Tesla' but a 'commercial truck'. According to Trevor Milton, the founder of Nicol-a, that, unlike passenger cars that travel mainly in the city, commercial trucks that travel

long distances need the power to run long distances. However, if you want to go long dist-ances with 'electric batteries', you have to carry so many 'electric batteries', but there is

no space for so many 'electric batteries' in a car.

So, for a 'commercial truck' that has to run long distances, a 'hydrogen cell car' that uses a 'hydrogen fuel cell' that is lighter in weight and has a longer life than the 'electric batte-ry' is suitable.

As these advantages emerged, many investors recently flocked to 'Nicola'. The stock price was also $11.76 on March 9 this year, but was $79.73 on June 9, up 677.97% from March 9. That is why investors acknowledged that the future of 'Nicola's hydrogen fuel cell truck' is bright.

However, the 'good times' of 'Nicola' were not long. On September 21st, the stock price

of 'Nicola' ended at 27.58 dollars. It plunged to 34.59% compared to the peak of June 9th. The rate of decline in the stock price reaches 65.4%. So, what happened to'Nicola' betwee-n June 9th and September 21st?

The rebirth of Nicola Tesla, the “unfortunate genius”

The reason for this is Hindenburg Research, an investment group specializing in short selli-ng. On September 10, Hindenberg Research released a report titled "Nicola: How to Partn-ership with America's Largest Automaker through Numerous Lies" on September 10th (lo-cal time).

In this report, Hindenberg Research argued that the founder of Trevor Milton "lowered the price of hydrogen from $16 to $3 to $4 a kilogram," but "Lever Milton told Linkedin in Jul-y that'currently hydrogen I admitted that it is not producing.”

Also, “In the video 'Nicola One in Motion', which Nicola released on the YouTube channel in January 2018, the hydrogen-electric semi-truck 'Nicola One' is actually towing the truck up a hill with a very low slope. It was then rolled,” he said, and presented a text message

from a former Nicola employee as proof.

Trevor Milton, the founder of 'Nicola,' who had heard a “fraud” after the report was releas-ed, resigned, and stock prices plummeted accordingly.

The “Hindenberg Research Report” rippled this time is evaluated as a fatal blow to trust in “Nicolas” as a leader in  'hydrogen fuel cell commercial trucks'. In addition, it makes you

realize that it is impossible for a company without real technology to trick the market eye.

Of course, 'Nicolas' will be able to regain the trust of the market and investors and move on to success. But for that to happen, it seems that at least it will have to be proven that 'Nicola' has some of its own technology.

There are so many interesting stories about 'Tesla' and 'Nicola'. One such story is the fact that the two companies are named after Thomas Edison and the scientist 'Nicola Tesla' wh-o fought the DC Electric : AC Electric War.

Nicola Tesla is known as the 'The most disadvantaged genius' in the history of world science. The fact that two companies use the name of such a person is rare in this world.
