Entrance and Corridor

For man, a house is not just a place to live, but a place where everything in life begins an-d a destination in life. It is also the only place in the world where you can relax your mind and body safely and warmly like your mother's arms.
That's why people's instincts are to make their homes safe, comfortable, beautiful, and hap-py. This is why so many people feel that they want to design and direct the interior and li-ghting of their home, regardless of what their major is at university.
As we know well, a house is divided into several spaces. Where is the most important of
them? Of course, from the standpoint of the people living in the house, it is inevitable tha-t the inside of the house, among them, is the place where the most time is spent.
◆ Design to convey the “heart” that welcomes guests
Nevertheless, there is a good reason for choosing the entrance as one of the most import-ant spaces in a house. First, the 'entrance' connects the inside and the outside of the hou-se. In addition, the entrance is the first place where guest who visit your house meet.
For this reason, the interior and lighting of the entrance have a great influence in determi-ning the impression and image of 'our house'. This is why we must pay much attention to the interior and lighting of the front door.
On the other hand, when a guest enters the door, the first space is the 'corridor' which lea-ds from the entrance and the entrance to the living room. A visitor to our house looks at the corridor with curious eyes and approaches the living room, which is the interior of the house. In a short time passing through this corridor, guests feel a second image of our ho-me.
Therefore, the entrance and corridor can be called a “critical space” where people who visi-t our home completely decide the image of our home. In addition, the 'image' determine-d through the entrance and corridor is hardly changed.
So how can we create a entrance and a corridor that gives people who visit our home a "good impression" and a "good image"? In this regard, the first thing we need to do is de-cide on the 'image of my house' to show our guests. To do this, choose a single keywor-d, such as 'welcome', 'bright', 'welcome' or 'happy home'.
Next, I think about details such as what kind of interior fits these keywords, and what kind of light to illuminate. After deciding on the goals of the interior and lighting of the entran-ce and the hallway, it is easier to plan the most suitable space for each space such as the entrance, the entrance and the corridor.
◆ The place where design which expresses "the dignity of the house" is necessary
Looking at the interior and lighting of the entrance and corridor in detail, the order is the entrance, the entrance and the corridor. The door is the first thing you will see from the o-utside. That's why you need to choose the door that contains the image of your home th-at you want to show to your guests. The door is made of steel or wood. If you chose steel as the material for the door, then you should think about what color you want the door to finish.
The colors used for the doors are black, white, gray, red, yellow, blue and green. In the pa-st, black, white, and gray were used a lot, but nowadays, people in their 20s and 30s tend to finish doors in more diverse and colorful colors.
In the case of single-family homes or rural homes, which are not apartments, lighting is al-so provided at the doors. Lighting to enter and exit is often installed at the top of the doo-r or on both walls of the door.
The design of the lighting fixtures can be selected from the products of the classic or mod-ern design. If you select a lighting device attached to the door with a motion sensor that responds to the movement of a person, it is convenient because the light is automatically turned on when the guest approaches the door within a certain distance.
Although the entrance inside the door is a narrow space, it is the first place to meet at ho-me, so it is good to decorate it with care. Most homes are tiled or hardwood floors on th-e porch floor.
Some are treated with marble or granite. Whatever the material, the floor finish on the por-ch should be able to give a clean and clean feel. It is also important to be easy to clean.
The entrance hall is usually equipped with storage furniture such as shoeboxes. The materi-als and colors of the storage furniture are determined by matching the finishing materials and colors of the floor, walls and ceiling of the entrance.
Install the entrance lamp on the ceiling of the entrance hall. Nowadays, LED downlights an-d LED ceiling-mounted sensors are often chosen as door lamps. In some cases, you may choose to use an LED pendant hanging from the ceiling as a porch light, so make sure that the height of the cord is appropriately adjusted so that the porch light does not touch your body.
The hallway leading to the entrance is the access space to the living room. If this corridor
is long, it is better to have the interior on the floor, ceiling and walls. In general, the ceilin-g and wall finishes and colors are unified, and the floor is finished with solid wood or ston-e, and the LED downlight is purchased on the ceiling.
Instead of LED downlights, there are occasions where cornice or cove lighting is installed
in the corner where the wall meets the ceiling. If the corridor is long, there is a way to han-g a picture frame on the wall and illuminate the wall.
The entrance and corridor are not large in the house. However, considering that it is the fi-rst place to greet guests visiting our home, it is necessary to design it to feel 'the dignity of the house' with the warm welcome of family members and the refined interior and light-ing.
