In this regard, Daegu City has opened a “Hanok Guesthouse” near the Seomun Market Nig-ht Market to operate a unique program such as beautiful night scenery and traditional cu-lture experience. Seomun Hanok Guesthouse, which is famous for its characteristic and beautiful scenery of a traditional hanok located in the city center, is located in the back of Seomun Market Dist-rict 5 with a land area of ??471m2 (142 pyeong), a total floor area of ??230m2 (69 pyeong), and a three-story building. It opened on November 2, 2014.

Hanok garden and cafe facilities are located on the 1st floor, and on the 2nd and 3rd floo-rs, 7 rooms including 2 rooms for 8 people, 1 room for 4 people, and 4 rooms for 2 peop-le can accommodate 30 people. Are being provided.

It is well-equipped with amenities such as air conditioners and refrigerators, so it is a favor-ite for families and group guests.Especially, it is highly preferred by female customers wh-o value safety because each room has a separate toilet.

In addition, breakfast is provided for guests, and at night, guests can enjoy a night party

in a hanok garden to build friendship and communication with each other. The traditional hanbok experience program is popular with foreigners as it blends with the atmosphere

of a hanok.

The number of staying guests at the Seomun Hanok Guesthouse has steadily increased, at-tracting more than 10,000 tourists since its opening, and as of the end of October this ye-ar, the number of lodging guests reached 4,555, exceeding the total number of visitors

last year (4401). In particular, 1396 foreigners stayed this year and played a role as a place to promote Korean traditional culture.
