The Empire State Building (ESB) announced the details of the annual holiday festival with New Yorkers, tourists and fans around the world on 7 November. Held in the two months of November and December, the celebrations feature year-end Fifth Avenue window decorations, year-end concerts, and surprise appearances from celebrities.

The building's signature Art Deco style decor adorns the entrance to the 34th Street Obse-rvation Deck and the iconic Fifth Avenue lobby, and the Empire State Building's interior

shines like the building's world-famous tower lights.

ESB is spreading the joy of the year-end to every corner of New York City and around the world, from the ground floor to the sparkling antennas. What's new this winter is an exte-rnal heater that gives visitors a special sense of comfort on the 360-degree observation

deck outside the 86th floor of ESB.

Anthony E. Mulkin, Chairman and CEO of the Empire State Real Estate Trust, said, "The

observatory, completely remodeled by the Empire State Building, ranges from the realistic

interactive museum on the second floor to the newly installed external heater on the 86th floor, and the 360-degree observation deck on the 102nd floor surrounded by glass.

"It will be a place to experience the magic of New York City during the holiday season."

Visitors to the world-famous 86th floor observation deck can feel a festive mood in severa-l places, including:

Fifth Avenue and observation deck lobby

During the week starting on November 11, 2019, the atmosphere at the end of the year

in the Empire State Building comes alive. Classic gold, bronze and silver decorations reveal the signature Art Deco details of the Fifth Avenue lobby.

Radio City Rockets will once again'unwrap' the custom year-end window of ESB Fifth Ave-nue designed by Mark Stephen Experiential Agency on November 13. These custom wind-ows contain several different replicas of the building with polished metal decorations, lan-dscape-shaped candy and the Nutcracker.

ESB also rings the end of the year with live music performances in the lobby of Fifth Aven-ue. From Monday, December 2nd, 2019 to Friday, December 27th, 2019, pianists play the end-of-the-year classical music and favorite collections, creating a festive atmosphere. ESB also hosts performances by several local student choirs during the holiday season.

Observation deck

Once guests arrive at the observation decks on the 86th and 102nd floors, they have no id-ea who they will meet. During the two months of November and December, the building

invites famous celebrity guests to the world-famous 86-floor observation deck for a 360-d-egree view. The building has previously invited guests such as Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefa-ni, Hugh Jackman and Jack Ephron to the holiday season.]

ESB winter visit

Empire State Building is the first to introduce heat lamps to the world-famous 86th floor

observation deck to prevent chills when visitors are viewing 360-degree views outdoors.

From the indoor exhibition hall on the second floor to the observatory on the 102nd floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows and temperature-controlled observation decks, guests can s

tay warm even when the weather outside.

Famous Tower Lighting

ESB illuminates the New York City skyline with tower lights celebrating Thanksgiving, Han-ukkah, Christmas and New Year's Eve during the holiday season. For the overall lighting sc-hedule, visit http://www.esbnyc.com/explore/tower-lights/calendar.

Since 1976, the tower lighting of the Empire State Building, an international icon on the

New York skyline, has maintained a tradition of color change to recognize a variety of eve-nts and organizations throughout the year.

In 2012, with the new computer-powered LED lighting system installed, the tower lightin-g of the Empire State Building changed everything. The system can display 16 million col-ors. Also, the color of the tower lights can be changed instantly.

The Empire State Building kicks off its night activities by hosting a night tower lighting eve-nt rather than the world famous static lighting and dazzling lighting show. Tower lights

celebrate holidays and events, and the music-to-light show is synchronized with the music broadcast at the same time on the iHeartMedia station.

Please note that the Empire State Building does not provide tower lighting for private eve-nts such as birthdays, anniversaries or weddings. In this regard, commercial events, politic-al campaigns, religious figures or events. Please refer to the full rules and guidelines for lig-hting partners.
