In recent years, in our society, the voice that the working environment needs to be

improved is increasingly being raised. In this regard, Incheon city (Mayor : Nam-Chun

Park) announced that it plans to improve the working environment and create a space for users to rest by installing smart gardens in industrial complexes and public facilities.

The Smart Garden Creation Project is a project to create a new type of garden that

maximizes relaxation, healing, and contemplative effects, with the aim of providing a

pleasant shelter by utilizing idle spaces in industrial complexes and public facilities with

government funding from the Forest Service.

A total of 11 sites will be installed as a pilot project in Incheon City, with a budget of 30 million won per each site, with plans to build 9 sites in the Namdong National Industrial

Complex, Seoun-Ganghwa General Industrial Complexes, and 2 Incheon Culture and Arts

Centers by September.

According to the conditions of the installation site, it is divided into a cube type, which is

formed in a box shape, and a wall type that utilizes the wall of the lounge, and installs

smart systems such as indoor plant planting with excellent air purification ability,

automatic irrigation system, and growth lighting.

After installation, the business will be gradually expanded by grasping the effect of the

business through monitoring and user satisfaction surveys.

Sang-yoon Ahn, head of the Green Area Policy Division, said, "With the smart garden

construction project, we will improve the living environment, such as reducing fine dust,

by expanding the indoor space infrastructure where you can enjoy the garden in all four

seasons," and "creating it as a space for mental and physical healing of industrial complex workers and users of public facilities. I will try to make it possible."
